(Bill) For those of you keeping track at home

I thought I was going to be able to report two straight months without a traffic ticket, but Christmas morning, on the way to church, the mosquitos (police) caught me on the highway going 3 miles over the speed limit.  Of course, the speed trap is set up just as you crest a hill and descend the other side.  And with no other cars on the road Christmas morning, my eyes weren't glued to the speedometer to keep me from recklessly terrorizing the streets of Blantyre (because that would be SO much safer if I kept my eyes glued to the dashboard!).  What part of speed LIMIT don't you understand, Mr.?  Anyway, I'm getting to be a pro at this now.  I paid my fine with a smile (I consider this my contribution to the local economy) and we all arrived to Christmas service just in time for me to do a Scripture reading.  So, for those tracking at home, that's 3 moving violations in 4 months of driving in Malawi. "Dangerous" has a new name in town!!!
Black Mamba raised its sinister head again Christmas morning.

  1. Maybe Elizabeth should do the driving from now on or you should assign one of the kids speedometer duty.
